Optical Mineralogy and Paleontology Laboratory, covering an area of 129 m², is equipped with 1 projector, 8 Leica student microscopes, and 1 Leica research microscope. In the designated laboratory spaces, practical sessions for courses such as Mineralogy–Petrography, Ore Deposits, Optical Mineralogy, and Paleontology are conducted.
The laboratories contain a wide range of mineral, rock, ore, and fossil samples, along with essential equipment including polarizing microscopes, thin-section preparation machines, crushers, grinders, drying ovens, and sample cabinets, necessary for these courses.
Additionally, practical sessions for the Soil Mechanics course are conducted in the Civil Engineering Department laboratories, while those for the Rock Mechanics course are carried out in the Mining Engineering Department laboratories.
