ETKİNLİKLER

Our department participated in the 4th Kocatepe Engineering Sciences Student Symposium, which was held within our faculty this year. On May 16, 2025, during the Mining Session, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aslı Karabaşoğlu, a faculty member of our department, presented a paper on the characteristics of fossils found in the Kırıkkale and Kastamonu regions. In addition, Dr. Behzat Gökçen Demir, who serves at the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG), delivered a presentation entitled ‘Employment Models of Geoscience Engineers within the Scope of Mining Legislation’. Likewise, Selçuk Bostancı, also working at MAPEG, presented his paper titled ‘The Role of Mining in Our Lives, Its Contribution to the Economy, and Sustainable Mining Practices through the TÜRMES Project’. We would like to thank the members of the symposium organizing committee and our faculty members from the department who participated in the event.
